Frequently Asked Questions.

  • I offer free 15-minute phone consultations before beginning services. This is a zero pressure change to get to know me and see if I would be the right fit for you.

You can click here to check my calendar to schedule a time that is convenient for you. From there, you can decide to move forward to schedule an intake session.

  • My fee for a 50-minute session is $190 per session.

This rate reflects my specialized training as a Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) therapist and my commitment to providing expert, focused care for parents. Payment is due at the time of service, and I accept all major credit cards and funds from Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant system for all billing.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

  • I am on Lyra for those who want to use those EAP benefits.

At this time, I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not directly bill insurance. However, this often gives you more control over your treatment and confidentiality.

If your insurance plan offers out-of-network health benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement. I can provide you with a detailed receipt, also known as a superbill, which you can submit directly to your insurance company.

I am also partnered with Thrizer to help clients access their out-of-network benefits. If you are unsure about your out-of-network benefits, we can check prior to starting services what the cost would be for you.

  • I only offer services via secure telehealth throughout the state of California.

Telehealth sessions are conducted using a private, HIPAA-compliant video platform, allowing you to connect from the comfort of your own home.

  • Therapy is a collaborative process and the duration is specific to your needs and concerns.

You are not committing to an indefinite timeline. Some clients can begin to feel relief within 3 to 6 months by implementing coping skills and addressing mindset shifts. Others choose longer-term therapy to address deeper identity shifts and past traumas. We will regularly check in on your progress and ensure that therapy remains valuable investment for your well-being.

  • Once we agree to move forward in starting services and schedule an intake session, you will receive an email to create a profile on my telehealth platform. This will include signing consent forms, reviewing my practice policies, completing assessments, and filling out my intake questionnaire. You will also be asked to put a card on file and sign up for autopay. Once the paperwork is complete, you will receive an email with a telehealth link for our intake appointment. You will also receive a reminder the day before your appointment.

Our first session will include reviewing your intake questionnaire and any additional information, including background, family history, and any other information you think is pertinent for me to know to better support you in our sessions. We will also review confidentiality, practice policies, and any other questions you may have.

  • I primarily work with parents who are going through their family development journey, such as fertility struggles, all the way to parenting in the early childhood years, and everything in between.

I work with a range of issues within that niche, such as:

    • Stress

    • Anxiety

    • Birth trauma

    • Postpartum depression and anxiety

    • Transitioning back to work

    • Identity struggles

    • Parenting issues

    • Child development

    • Attachment

While this is the main population that I work with, I can work with a variety of people and issues. This includes trauma, life transitions, self-care, grief and loss, and work-life balance.

You are welcome to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to find out if I would be a good fit for supporting you through your current struggles.

  • While most perinatal professionals specialize in the first year or specific specialities within that period, I offer long-term continuity of care. I continue to work with my clients as their children grow from infant to toddlerhood and preschool years.

This means that you don’t have to find a new therapist as new parenting challenges arise, such as

    • Tantrums

    • Separation anxiety

    • Social-emotional development

    • Juggling multiple children

    • Aggression

    • Compliance

    • Transitions

    • Clarity on parenting values

Many clients have found this continuity of care helpful since I have a long-term understanding of you, your family, and your child.

  • Yes! Babies are always welcome here.

I understand that scheduling childcare can be a major barrier to seeking therapy, especially in those early months postpartum. Sessions are designed to be flexible and supportive of the parent-child relationship. I always welcome newborn babies into my sessions, so if they need to be fed, held, or just comforted. We will adjust the session flow as needed. My focus is on your well-being, and I am happy to work around your baby’s needs.

  • Yes, absolutely. Every single feeling you are having is valid, safe, and welcome here.

The journey through parenthood is complex. Feelings of guilt, rage, or resentment are far more comment than you think. My practice is a non-judgemental where you can unpack all those complicated feelings around motherhood without shame. My goal is to normalize these feelings and support you in understanding the root causes in order to address them and improve your daily life with your baby.

  • I am not an emergency crisis line, but your safety is a priority, and I have resources for you.
