Frequently Asked Questions.

  • Our first sessions will focus on getting to know each other. I will ask questions to get clarity on who you are, what is most important to address in sessions with me, and your background. We will prioritize your goals and how to achieve those goals.

Once that is established, we will get into the deeper work and work at the pace that is comfortable for you. We will not only process your thoughts and feelings, but establish concrete tools and skills to address the behaviors that are impacting your daily life.

  • I primarily work with parents who are going through the family development journey, from fertility to postpartum and even into early childhood development.

I work with a range of issues within that topic such as, stress and anxiety around fertility and pregnancy, birth trauma, postpartum depression and anxiety, transitioning back to work after leave, parenting and child behavior struggles, and attachment. I work with all types of families and parents.

While this is my main focus, I can work with a variety of issues. If we are a good fit and your concerns are within my scope of practice we can still engage in therapy together!

  • While most perinatal professional specialize in the first year or specific specialities within that period, I offer long term continuity of care.

I continue to work with my clients as their children grow from infant to toddlerhood and preschool years.

This means that you don’t have to find a new therapist as new parenting challenges arise, such as tantrums, separation anxiety, social-emotional development, aggression, , compliance, and transitions.

  • Therapy is an investment. My individual sessions are $150 per session, which can be paid through a debit or credit card or with your HSA/FSA cards.

I am also partnered with Thrizer to use out of network benefits. If you are unsure about your out of network benefits, we can check prior to starting services what the cost would be for you.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

  • If you have more questions or want to get to know me before diving into therapy with me, we can schedule a free consultation. These consultations are 15 minutes long by phone. From there, you can decide to move forward to schedule for a therapy session.

  • After our 15 minute consultation, if you decide to engage in services, you and I will agreed on an intake session and then you will receive an email to create a profile on my platform.

This will include signing consent forms, reviewing my practice policies, completing assessments, and my intake questionnaire.

You will also be asked to put a card on file and sing up for autopay. This is required in order to schedule your first session.

Once that is all complete, I will send you an email with a link to our appointment.
